Welcome, honoured guests, to The Goblin Ball! A shimmering night of fantasy, decadence, murder and mystery not to be missed!

Step into the wondrous world of the Ice Kingdom in the grand and beautiful Regal Ballroom, where the mists of distant mountains cascade from the cocktail bar and delicate snowflakes fall from the chandeliers!

For one glorious night of splendour and revelry the walls between worlds will shimmer and merge and the hidden corners of faraway lands will be close enough to touch. Fantasy creatures of every kind will dress in their finest robes and flashiest jewels to saunter and be seen at the most prestigious party of the year, hosted by their Most Gracious Majesties - The Royal Family of the Ice Kingdom.

By Royal Decree of the Ice Queen you are hereby invited to attend a night of enchantment and wonder like no other, where dazzling dreams come to life and nothing is quite as it seems!

THE MURDER MYSTERY

Within the masquerade there is also a great mystery to be solved! The Goblin courtiers are whispering, fingers are being pointed and someone here must surely be an assassin!

Join in the grand, interactive murder mystery game by creating your own unique character and becoming part of the adventure!

Throughout the evening clues and stories will be revealed by the performing Characters of the Court, with whom you can request an audience, hold interrogations, hatch theories or simply ask them to dance. Follow your nose and your instincts, use your Goblin Gold to loosen tongues and uncover secrets and see if you can unravel the mystery and find out Whodunnit!

As soon as you buy your ticket, you are invited to submit your Character by using the “Create Your Creature” feature on the website. By using the CYCF your character is woven through the mythology of the land. You may, for example, be seeking a cure for a spell you are under or a potion to enchant others from the Goblin apothecary, or maybe the Royalty have charged you with a mission to complete for a small reward. The character history you submit can even contain relationships or information about how you know the royalty or the other guests!

Your participation in the game is entirely up to you - you can play as much or as little as you like. Each guest's experience can range from a fully immersive Live Action Role Play adventure night to simply being a well-dressed and (reasonably) innocent bystander who watches the theatricality of the evening while sipping drinks and enjoying canapes!

DRESS CODE

Lavish and creative costumes are greatly encouraged!

In the Goblin Ball the more extravagant and astonishing your costume the more you will feel right at home.

Formal wear and masks are also very welcome.

You are invited to dress as any fantasy creature or in any fantasy style you choose. This can include creatures from mythology, fable and folklore, film / TV / theatre / ballet, period costumes and characters from any era, or fanciful and fantastic ensembles from your own imagination.

The spirit of the Goblin Ball embodies dark and sinister fantasy and folklore and very much welcomes creative interpretations of this theme.
