If PRIDE PARADE is the rainbow, then Pride WA's CELEBRATION is the pot of gold at the end of it!
Just when you thought the CELEBRATION line up could not get any more exciting, we're throwing in another massive national act, and a heap of local goodness!
Joining SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM and DIDIER COHEN will be SARAH MCLEOD, front woman of highly esteemed Australian rock act The Superjesus.
Sarah will be performing an acoustic show which is set to steal the hearts of all in the vicinity!
CELEBRATION will be staged in Northbridge’s Russell Square immediately after this year’s
daytime PARADE. It will run from 1.30pm to 9pm.
Together, the events will kick off PRIDEFEST 2013 a three-week festival of arts, culture and community events for Western Australia’s LGBTI Community
Co-President Daniel Smith said Pride WA is extremely pleased to have someone of the calibre of Sarah McLeod perform.
"We are already excited at the prospect of having two extremely popular national headliners in Sneaky Sound System and Didier Cohen, so being able to add an Australian music icon in Sarah into the mix is an extremely big coup for CELEBRATION".
Joining McLeod will be local electro-pop duo SUN CITY, electro-burlesque showman and provocateur TOMÁS FORD and electro synth-pop group BASTIAN'S HAPPY FLIGHT.
Also playing will be indie rockers AXE GIRL, the extremely talented and golden voiced SARAH PELLICANO, funk/soul/hip hop group THE AMANI CONSORT and acoustic singer songwriter NAT RIPEPI.
Co-President Michelle Rigg was impressed by the quality of local talent that will be performing at the event.
"Perth has long been known for its local music scene, and the strong representation and variety of local performers joining us is evidence of the quality of the artists in this city.”
"Being able to deliver a mix of high profile national acts whilst supporting local artists, all of whom promise to put on an amazing show, is something we're very proud of."
Ms Rigg said CELEBRATION will have two stages, with the second stage having a more relaxed focus.
"We've put in our best efforts to ensure that music lovers of all tastes will be catered for, and with the variety of artists we've been able to secure, we're sure that we can achieve this”.
Supporting the plethora of acts on talent will be DJ's TIMBEE, CURLEE, BEN SEBASTIAN and JEWEL.
PRIDE CELEBRATION is shaping up to be one of Perth's all time parties, with a little something for everyone.
Proceedings will be kicking off at 1:30, directly after the parade.

Presale tickets for CELEBRATION are on sale now for $15 from www.pridewa.com.au/celebration and patrons are encouraged to get their ticket early to avoid queuing at the venue. Entry will be $20 at the gate.
