Jake Clemons - March 2015 Bittersweet Tour

SINGER, SONGWRITER AND MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST
JAKE CLEMONS
RETURNS TO AUSTRALIA IN 2015

Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Jake Clemons, returns to Australia in March after winning over Australian audiences on his debut Australian tour in 2014.

Jake’s soulful and spirited performances will delve deeper this time around, performing two sets – the first a solo acoustic offering that will give Australian audiences the first opportunity to hear fresh tracks from his forthcoming album ‘Bittersweet’; whilst introducing his band for the second set and performing Clemons’ much loved songs.

Bittersweet’ is themed around a song of the same name, written during the 2014 Australian tour. “The song deals with losing a father and the bittersweet process of reconciling that loss,” says Clemons.

Australia will be the first stop on Jake Clemons' 2015 world tour, to which he says, "so much of this record was inspired by experiences I've had in Australia over the last year, so it's incredibly special that I get to start the tour there!"

The new tour comes on the heals of the last album cycle for Embracing Light – a five track EP which Jake toured in thirteen countries including Australia, and featured on countless radio and TV shows including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Little Stevens Underground Garage where its first single, "You Must Be Crazy", was hailed 'Coolest Song in the World'. The same song was also part of a major philanthropic campaign for Global Citizen and The Global Citizen Festival.

Recently, Jake Clemons was given the 'Big Man Of The Year' award alongside Joan Jett as “Rocker Of The Year" by Little Kids Rock, a non-profit organization that brings contemporary band classes to public schools in the U.S.

The Big Man Of The Year award was named after its first recipient, Jake's late uncle, "The Big Man" Clarence Clemons in honor of his charitable efforts and for being a consistent voice of inspiration for young people everywhere. Previous recipients have also included Lady Gaga, Steven Van Zandt and Darlene Love.
