'THE GIN CLUB' RETURN TO
BRISBANE
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
The Brisbane/Melbourne/Stockholm based festive introspective collective, The Gin Club, will be doing a handful of shows along the east coast of Australia this March, including a very special show back where it all began, at O’Malley’s Irish Pub in the Queen Street Mall in Brisbane.
The much-loved Irish pub now hosts a monthly, mid-week ‘pop-up’ live music club called ‘The Bunker’, featuring an exciting array of local and interstate talent who have jumped on board to be part of a series of eclectic rock n’ roll events.
On Thursday, March 19th, The Bunker will play host to The Gin Club's Brisbane return. The band were famously formed in 2003 from a group of attendees at an open mic event held every Monday night at the pub. The show promises to be a very rare treat for music fans as the band will perform a special set, concentrating on their early material as well as taking requests from their entire five-album back catalogue. They will also preview tracks from their forthcoming album'Southern Lights'. Joining the group when they make their return to the venue after 11 years will be local up-and-comers Harley Young & the Haymakers; and popular garage rock trio Some Jerks, in rare acoustic mode.
A very limited number of pre-show tickets go on sale midday Monday 9th February for $15 +BF and will be available from www.thebunkerbrisbane.com. Further tickets will be available at the event, but are extremely limited, to keep the event intimate.
The Bunker is proudly presented by O'Malley's Irish Pub, and community radio 4ZZZ 102.1FM Brisbane.
