The Australia - China Free Trade Agreement: Key features and opportunities for South Australian small and medium businesses

"Prime Minister Abbott and President Xi announced the conclusion of negotiations for the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) on 17 November 2014. Trade and Investment Minister Robb and Commerce Minister Gao signed a Declaration of Intent to work towards signature of the Agreement. ChAFTA lays an historic foundation for the next phase of Australia's economic relationship with China. ChAFTA will unlock significant opportunities for Australia. China is Australia's largest export market for both goods and services, accounting for nearly a third of total exports, and a growing source of foreign investment.” Source.  

Join The Australia China Development Company (ACDC) for a briefing on what ChAFTA means for South Australia. The briefing will be chaired by ACDC Chairman Chris Schacht, who has travelled to China over 30 years as a politician and businessman.

ACDC is a long-time friend to Shandong and has returned in August from a successful delegation where 40 South Australian's celebrated Adelaide's recent Sister city status with Qingdao.

Ex Federal Minister the Hon Chris Schacht will discuss the opportunities in Shandong surrounding the recent ChAFTA, the Chinese Consulate opening in Adelaide and recap some highlights from the recent ACDC Sister City Celebration delegation.

ACDC's marketing manager Karyn Lanthois will discuss ecommerce and the importance of using relevant social media avenues in China and present an opportunity to begin a dialogue with China now via SA lifestyle Chinese social media channel featured on WeChat and Weibo

Hear announcements on the opening of a trade office / creative hub / show room in Qingdao, investment opportunities and a new initiative allowing your business service or product to gain immediate exposure in Shandong. 

The briefing will provide an opportunity for companies to gain up to date and relevant information on doing business in Shandong for 2015.
