David Bridie

David Bridie returns to Australia following a month long tour of Canada to play a special show at New Globe Theatre before heading back north for live gigs in London. Performing songs from his acclaimed 2013 album ‘WAKE’, as well as a back catalogue of solo releases and scores for film and television, David will present songs from his new release ‘Take the Next Illusionary Exit’ (out Sep ‘14).

Created as a reward to fans who crowd funded ‘WAKE’, the new album is a wild concoction of curios, oddities, rarities and b-sides. From humble beginnings to a collector’s item, the exclusive release highlights Bridie’s live favourites, and has taken on a life of its own. Expect to hear a cover of The Only Ones ‘Another Girl Another Planet’; songs from his bands My Friend the Chocolate Cake and Not Drowning Waving; the Nat King Cole ballad ‘Morning Star’; and ’Love really hurts without you’ – Billy Ocean’s golden opus.
