COME OUT TO PLAY AT QuAC's 30TH BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY!

THE PLAYBOX FUNDRAISER AT THE NEW WICKHAM IN BRISBANE...

Yes - that's right - the magical and fantastical party that has wowed Sydney three times is landing upstairs at the Wickham on re-opening night Sat 30 Aug amid much fanfare and pomp and ceremony!

On the opening weekend of the Brisbane Pride Festival, help celebrate the 30 amazing years since 1984 that the Queensland AIDS Council has served the local LGBTIQ community. Of course this PlayBox is all about raising much needed moolah for QuAC to continue fulfilling this important purpose! In fact, one of the main people behind PlayBox is a HIV+ gay male Queenslander who lives in Brisbane and also loves volunteering at QuAC... :)

Featuring playful, talented and fantasmagorical DJs Arsee, Les Smith (of ToyBox fame) and Fradge, on this night you can allow your young inner mischievous self to be awakened with over-the-top production, lasers and sound. Delivered by Queensland's top team of audiovisual experts, headed by the one and only Les Smith, the spectacular synchronised and synergistic full colour surround laser experience will certainly be a sight to behold!

Transformed into one big rumpus room with a twist of gaming arcade, the newly renovated upstairs nightclub at the Wickham will be like a fanciful playground for big kids of all kinds, naughty and nice. And who knows, maybe a few or several of our much loved local colourful and/or gender bending characters will grace us with their presence too... ;)

Spawned by a secret rendezvous and liaison between a PlayStation and Xbox, AVI the friendly robot is your audiovisual avatar, pied piper of tunes and synaesthesic facilitator of ceremonies. Zie is your journeybot of adventure guiding you to your destination with hir special and supersonic beats.

Tickets are on sale now and available online at http://events.ticketbooth.com.au/event/PlayBoxQuAC30 (where you can also make a donation at the checkout) for only $30+BF (first release), $35+BF (second release) and $40+BF (final release). Tix are also available in person at QuAC at 30 Helen Street in Teneriffe. If not sold out, tickets will be on the door of the event on the night for $50. Of course, if you are a concession or student card holder, tickets for only $25+BF are available (at QuAC only) on presentation of a valid card and a friendly smile... :)
