Join us for informal drinks, networking and the opportunity to hear from Pat Tallon, CEO, Civmec and Greg Hayes, Director Mining Australasia, Amec Foster Wheeler. 


With the recent award of the Gruyere Gold Project, Amec Foster Wheeler Civmec JV (ACJV) will discuss the scope of the $298 million EPC contract and what opportunities will be available to potential subcontractors.


About Pat Tallon: 



Named CEO Magazine’s Construction Executive of the Year, in 2014, Patrick John Tallon has been CEO of Civmec since 2012. Today Civmec employs over 2000 personnel with a broad range of disciplines and skills and delivers projects all over Australia.


It gives it clients a complete vertical package solution for their expansion requirements. Having developed significant facilities in both Western Australia and New South Wales, Pat has also ensured that the company has a strong presence in the Northern Territory and Queensland, where the company delivers many projects and today it is well known as a capable tier one contractor in the sectors in which it operates.


Pat commenced his career with the Irish Defence Forces in 1987, learning the extraordinary discipline and leadership skills which laid the foundations for his future. Prior to his role at Civmec, Pat established a construction company in WA which earned a reputation for delivering on its promises and forged strong relationships with clients across the infrastructure, commercial and resource sectors.


About Greg Hayes:



Greg has over 27 years’ experience in operations, study and project management covering a
large number of commodities in Africa and Australia. He has held various technical and managerial roles based in operations, engineering and project delivery.


Greg’s expertise includes Base Metal concentrators and refining; Uranium processing; PGM processing; significant operational experience and technical management experience.


Greg joined Amec Foster Wheeler in 2007 as Group Manager Process, becoming the Technical Director Process in 2009. In 2011 Greg was promoted to the role of Regional Director for the Australia West business. Following a Company restructure effective January 2017, Greg was appointed Director Mining, Australasia division.
