Tonight we continue our tribute to Ella Fitzgerald by performing songs from her "Songbook" series of albums. These albums are considered a cornerstone of 20th century recorded popular music, and as a whole, represent some of the finest interpretations of the greater part of the musical canon known as the Great American Songbook. Starting with Duke Ellington and moving through the great song writers we will perform a selection of songs from each of these eight wonderful albums spanning 9 years of Ella's amazing career.
