Eli Wolfe back from overseas to launch high-spirited new single
We all started something – it's a universal truth that inspires reflection. It's also the title of Eli Wolfe's brand new single, which is being launched Mars Hill Cafe in Parramatta on Friday 19 October. The single was written and recorded in Los Angeles and Sydney as part of Eli's most exciting musical year to date.
The year saw Eli perform to full houses in theatres and venues across Canada and Germany, help launch a national youth campaign promoting respectful relationships in Australia, and release his second studio recording, 'Cards are on the table'. That EP debuted at number one on community radio's most ordered songs for airplay chart, went on to enjoy airplay on Triple J, and includes a song that featured on classic cartoon comedy Futurama.
Eli's lastest offering showcases him as a truly diverse artist, blending his renowned heartfelt and sincere vocals with more instrumentation and driving grooves to make for a cosmic, high-spirited and epic sound. The song explores humanity, social evolution and how our actions define us as individuals and a collective.
A self-taught left-handed guitarist, Eli has a highly original and acclaimed style. Respected music e-mag The AU Review on Eli's performance at Canadian Music Festival 2012 said, "outstanding...his roots-centric guitar playing stupidly impressive, especially when he ripped out an epic instrumental number, props". Playing on 6 and 12-string and classical guitars, Eli's music ranges from tender and fragile melodies to vibrant and phenomenal instrumentals.
'We all started something' will be out through iTunes in October. The single is lifted from Eli's forthcoming EP, due out in early 2013.
