Glyn MacDonald Group Ft. Bronwynn Sprogowski

'It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing'! This collective of well traveled and dapper gentleman lay it down as it should be with their toe-tappin' grooves for the sublime, formidable talents of one of Perth's swing secrets, Ms Bronwynn Sprogowski.

The Glyn MacDonald Group have performed at the Beijing International Jazz Festival (2011) to sell out audiences and standing ovations. They have also recorded a DVD with the audio recorded live by ABC Jazz. The DVD is available on the website.

The musicians have collectively performed all over the world including Vancouver, Rome, Japan, China, the USA and around Australia.  

The group consisting of Peter Jeavons (bass), Daniel Susnjar (drums) and Glyn MacDonald (piano) and Matthew Styles (Saxophones) draws influence from diverse ends of the musical spectrum. From classical through to Latin, and coupled with a knack for infectious toe-tappin’ swing, their collective works rest comfortably on a bed of groove-oriented originality.

Tonight the Glyn MacDonald Group together with the amazing voice of Bronwynn Sprogowski present a tribute to the great lady of song Ella Fitzgerald. Starting with her earliest hit "A-Tisket, A-Tasket" right through her 40+ year career the night will pay tribute to one of the greatest singers of all time. As the great song writer Richard Rodgers once said put it “Whatever she does to my songs, she always makes them sound better." Join us as we celebrate this timeless voice with one of our very own.
