Did you know there are hundreds of ways to bind books?  If we asked each of you to imagine a leather journal, your answer would be unique, a different picture in each mind. 

In this workshop you will discover how to create your very own leather bound notebooks with the talented mistress of textiles, Alena Warm.  A craft you can repeat at home with the simplest of tools. 

There is beauty in displaying each journal proudly on your bookshelf, small chapters of your life, each with its own story to tell.  This could even be the first of many memoirs in your lifetime's collection of handcrafted journals.

Self taught from a very young age Alena has a broad experience in working with different materials and developed a keen eye for textures, styles and techniques. Alena’s inspiration draws on many different disciplines and cultures from Europe to Asia and from skateboarding to sewing.
