Event Description
Here's To Now 2016

Coriole parties are legendary and there is no doubt in our minds that this will be a really nice time. Set in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions in Australia, Here’s To Now is a celebration of all that is good. It’s the ducks nuts of live music, fine booze and tasty treats in the beautiful gardens of Coriole.

Now in its third year, the festival's line-up crosses the worlds of blues, folk, indie, soul and everything in between. Twenty-sixteen will see the event extended by a few extra hours of great live music, and once again tickets are strictly limited.

C.W. STONEKING

Following the ARIA award winning album ‘Jungle Blues’, Stoneking went on a musical hiatus returning six years later with ‘Gon’ Boogaloo' picking up another ARIA in 2015. With his individual and captivating live performances and three studio albums under his belt, Stoneking has had sell out shows across the UK, Europe and Australia. At Coriole he bring his intimate solo show to the famous sunset slot. Armed with his signature lilt and drawl, Stoneking is the epitome of blues & roots

REMI

A unique voice who has been making waves all over the world, REMI has shared the stage with Danny Brown, Vic Mensa, De La Soul, Joey Bada$$ and in December last year was invited to perform Gorillaz tracks with Damon Albarn on each of his Australian Tour shows. As a live act his skill is simply phenomenal – performing alongside producer / beatmaster extraordinaire Sensible J, his shows are the calling card that have turned heads globally.

OISIMA LIVE with 10 PIECE BAND & SPECIAL GUESTS

Presenting a “Here's To Now” world premiere. A collaboration between Oisima, Kiah Gossner (Bearded Gypsy Band, Vane of Barbs, Conchillia) and Kevin van der Zwaag (Shaolin Afronauts, Sparkspitter, Max Savage) brings the delicate synthesis of jazz-infused melodies and ambient laced, hip-hop beats of one of Australia's finest producers Oisima out of the box and into the hands of a live ten-piece band. Interpreting, expanding and exploring material from Oisima's first 3 releases, with a range of special guests, expect a dense, hypnotic and joyful live experience.

Supported lovingly by ARTS SA.

SEX ON TOAST

Sex on Toast is an irrepressibly charming 10-man organisation who specialise in raw, early 80’s funk, hard-edged new jack swing, blazing improvisation and heartfelt blue-eyed soul. Currently residing in Melbourne, their choreographed stage act, complex arrangements, performative larrikinism and danceability have won the hearts of casual punters and hardcore fans alike, all across Australia

AINSLIE WILLS

Melbourne melodist Ainslie Wills has been accruing an earnest following amongst the Australian and international music scenes since the release of her Australian Music Prize and Melbourne Music Prize nominated LP ‘You Go Your Way, I’ll Go Mine’ in 2013. With new EP 'Oh The Gold' her brand of progressive pop is edging it’s way closer to the fore, showing that Wills is an artist with integrity and longevity.

DAN KELLY

Australiana indie-pop legend Dan Kelly is back in 2015 with new record 'Leisure Panic', his first outing since 2010’s 'Dan Kelly’s Dream'. Kelly’s live shows are full of wit and whimsical storytelling. Kelly takes to the stage late in the afternoon at Here’s To Now.

MAX SAVAGE & HIS FALSE IDOLS
Playing Paul Simon's iconic 1986 album Graceland

Here’s To Now favourite Max Savage is bringing something special to Coriole in 2016. With an expanded False Idols ensemble, Savage will be performing a live version of Paul Simon’s classic record. Expect to dance as the sun starts going down.

SWEET JEAN

Sweet Jean is Sime Nugent and Alice Keath. Their music ranges from stark and gothic to hazy and melodic. Since forming in late 2010, Sweet Jean has built a reputation for evocative songwriting, razor-sharp harmonies and stirring live performances. As the AU Review put it, Sweet Jean “can break your heart one minute and mend it the next. The duo has a natural ability to transport their audience to the heart of their songs.”

SKIES

SKIES are an electronic, emotive, indie pop trio composed of Dusty Stephensen (vox/guitar), Micah Cearns (synth/production) and Michael Zabolocki (bass/synth/production). Stylistically, the trio dabble between fragile falsetto and percussive rhythms to conjure up a thoroughly blended organic and electronic soundscape that is easily accessible to any listener. At the 2015 SA Music Awards SKIES won Best New Artist following the recent release of their single ‘Call For My Heart’

SURAHN
DJ Set

Last time Surahn graced the stage at Coriole, his legendary disco collection turned the courtyard into a frenzied swarm of dancing bodies. We welcome one of our favourite party starters back to close out the festival this year at Coriole.

COURTYARD DJ’S

This year between acts on the main stage we’ll be keeping the party kicking on throughout the day in the Coriole courtyard with dj’s playing at the CRACKLE & POP record store.

With sets from:

YOUNG MUSCLE DJ’S

Young Muscle is an Adelaide based artist collective aimed at getting South Australian talent out to a broader audience and have held parties and played records in warehouses, clubs, parks, atriums, alleyways, vineyards and even on the banks of the mighty Torrens River itself. Young Muscle DJs love vinyl, and can be regularly found playing records at Botanic Bar or Rocket Bar & Rooftop where they host a monthly Saturday night. Their preferred flavours are disco, funk and house, but have never been afraid of a challenging combination of all of the above. The Young Muscle legends will be keeping the party ticking form twilight.

Nantale Kivubiro & Betty Milner are two gals who love disco, afro, latin and everything in between. Coming to you direct from the most era defining late night sessions at Sugar and packing crate loads of gold dug from distant dance floors, Nan & Betty will be spinning all afternoon to keep your toes tapping into the evening.

Diamond Slice

We're bringing back "Diamond Slice" Happy's pizza shop. Dreamed up a few summers ago whilst sitting around the fire at Russell's, this is arguably the most overstaffed and chaotic pizza shop on the planet. With a healthy dose of Coriole’s olives and toppings from the garden, a cranking wood oven and a megaphone, it's the best spot to sneak a slice south of Sicily.

- Paradise Prawn, harissa prawns, smoked ricotta, Coriole olives, pickled fennel $18

- Hawaiian Rainbow vino cotto ham, charred pineapple, calypso gremolata $15

Bubby Noodle

Driven by the passion for a big wet Asian noodle, chefs and all round sloppy jalopies Josh Cook and Andy Nowell have been delving in to the world of everything hard, dry and long through their Bubby Noodle nights over 2014-15 at the Botanic Bar. At HTN16 the boys will bring you a summer noodle bowl that will have Gengis Kahn wishing he was Vietnamese. Think pickled mushrooms, sambal, fragrant laksa mint, finger limes and galangal. Fist load sof  OOMPH, love thy noodle, slurp thy noodle, EwwwMUMMY!
