NZ’s sweetest purveyors of reggae Katchafire announce their return to Australian shores to celebrate their ‘Best So Far’ album release, bringing Hawaii’s Common Kings rock/reggae/R&B head nodding beats & feel good vibes along for the ride.

Kicking off in Byron Bay on October 3rd, the ‘Best So Far’ tour includes shows from Far North Queensland to WA, wrapping up on October 20. With shows packed to the rafters on Katchafire’s last Aussie tour, and with Common Kings’ star on the rise, this tour looks set to sell out in record time.

Katchafire have just returned from another sold out tour of the US, Europe & the UK including the legendary Glastonbury Festival, confirming their status as a global roots reggae phenomenon. Their latest release 'Best So Far' tips the hat to Katchafire's classics in one amazing compilation, featuring tracks from their 4 highly successful studio albums which have garnered platinum sales & multiple awards around the world.

Common Kings were introduced to the world stage when their first hit ‘Alcoholic’ graced airwaves around the globe. A new EP is due out in September combining their unique sound with the influence of Grammy-winning writers and producers, and these shows with Katchafire are a rare chance to experience their one-of-a-kind blend of Polynesian, R&B and pop music coupled with one of the hottest live shows around.

Katchafire ‘BEST SO FAR’ album out September 6 in Australia
through Lion House Records/MGM.

“Arriving early I was surprised to see the line up to get in all the way up the street with avid fans devastated they were unable to purchase tickets on arrival. It was hard to choose a favourite when every single song sparked riotous applause making it clear that EVERY song was the crowd favourite.”

“As they moved seamlessly through roots and reggae, dub, R&B and ska, the crowd bobbed along, soaking up the solos from drums, guitar, trumpet and sax, soaking up the atmosphere and soaking up the love. This band has certainly come into its own and are truly a force to be reckoned with on the international reggae stage.”
