Event Description
North Queensland music sensation King Social is a band that defy genre.  Formed only two years ago, the culturally diverse Angus Milne (lead vocal), Stevie Mitchell (hip hop artist), Jason Baillie (lead guitar), Costa Hagiaglou (drums) and Waqa Vananalagi (bass) are the great mates at the heart of King Social.

 

A four-time nominee for the Queensland Music Awards earlier this year, King Social’s music has topped the Triple J Unearthed charts three times and their all-original songs have amassed a cult following.  Rocking a sound that is best described as “city meets country”, their music is a unique blend of rock, reggae and hip hop, while paying homage to their country roots.  King's "Big Man" tour has been selling out venues all over Queensland and in July they played their first Sydney gig at the Oxford Art Factory to rave reviews from industry.

 

On September 11, King Social returns to Brisbane’s go-to arts and music venue The New Globe Theatre in Fortitude Valley; supported by The Badlands from Byron Bay and exciting up-and-coming Brisbane-based singer songwriter Tayla Young.
