Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life is a hilarious and heartwarming musical that tells the truth about marriage, motherhood and the juggle to ‘do it all.’

What if women told the truth a little more, to ourselves and each other? What if we admitted marriage can be tough, motherhood is a challenge and doing it all is exhausting. What if, instead of the Hollywood version of marriage and motherhood, we saw a depiction of how it really is - relentless, exhilarating, infuriating, hilarious, complicated.

Written by and starring Amity Dry, well known from Channel Nine’s hit TV show The Block as well as her top 10 Gold album The Lighthouse, this musical is truly a home grown success story.

After successful seasons and rave reviews in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney the show was selected for the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival, from hundreds of worldwide submissions. It then returned to New York in 2014 to play at the United Nations, as part of the Commission for the Status of Women Conference and 54 Below, New York’s hottest cabaret club. In January 2015 the show had its European debut, with a four week season at the Kilden Theatre in Norway, where it's enjoyed packed houses and nightly standing ovations. Now it returns to Adelaide as part of a national tour, for it’s fourth return season!
