Melbourne Tea Festival

THE MELBOURNE TEA FESTIVAL IS A CELEBRATION OF SPECIALTY LOOSE LEAF TEA.

Australian's drank about 7.7 billion cups of tea last year! That’s clearly cause for celebration. And everyone has a favourite type of tea, whether it’s chai, green, oolong, black, white or a healthy herbal tisane. This May you’ll get to sip and sample them all at the Melbourne Tea Festival.

Spend the day wandering around a tea market that features dozens of specialty and artisan tea stalls; buy a hand-made teapot and indulge in some tasty sweet and savoury treats. There's also a program of workshops where you can immerse yourself the world of tea.

LOCATION
The festival is located in the Melbourne Exhibition Centre Building, Doors 1 and 2, at 2 Clarendon Street South Wharf, Victoria (opposite Crown Casino).

TASTING CUP
Sample tea from different stallholders all day with a refillable festival tasting cup. These porcelain cups are a great take home collectable item. A cup is included with each entry ticket purchased. Additional cups can purchased on the day.

Tea Market
The tea market includes dozens of stallholders, from the boutique to the global, with specialty loose leaf tea and tisanes of all styles; ceramic artists and makers of beautiful teaware; artisan food purveyors and food trucks for something bigger to eat. There’s also a brew lounge where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea. 

Tea Workshops
Immerse yourself in the world of tea with some of Australia’s leading tea specialists, as they host educational talks, tastings, demonstrations and hands-on sessions. This year's workshops include:
