Event Description
Get away to the Milawa Gourmet Region for a great weekend, full of incredible experiences and mind-blowing sensations.
Arrive in Milawa on Friday and head straight to Snow Road Produce for the launch of the weekend, here you will find like minded people along for this ride as well, a great way to meet some people, taste some of the regions finest Prosecco and enjoy some delicious canapés full of local produce.
Head to your accommodation and rest up for the big day ahead.
Saturday morning is full of free experiences and also the opportunity to get involved with some master classes that have been put together for you. Just to name a few; Pumpkin Seed bread making by an incredible reputable local baker, Mustard experience – learn some of the secrets to Milawa Mustards, or maybe try your luck in the world of honey!
Don't eat too much for lunch as you must save some room for 6 amazing courses matched with local wines from 6.30pm onwards. So head back to your “home away from home”, have a nap and get your dining attire on!
There will be an array of busses and transportation options to pick you up from your accommodation and take you out for the evening. Oxley will be your destination and there you will stay, eat, drink, dance and laugh.
The night will start off with a bang, everything local, local, local, local and entirely focused on SPRING!! What’s in for spring, fresh produce, renowned chefs, infectious tunes and incredible wine to tie it all together. Be absorbed by the knowledge, tantalized by all 5 senses and meet some wonderful people.
Sunday morning will kick off in the heart of Milawa, the culinary cross roads, you will get a chance to meet some of our talented producers, ask them any questions and purchase some of the amazing produce and products. Breakfast will be served at 10am, one big long table, full of pancake, coffee and jovial stories of the night before. Once your belly is full and your eyes are opened, its time to then experience some of the incredible wineries and see our picturesque country side.
For those lucky enough to get in first a cycling day will unfold, from Milawa you will travel to Whorouly where you can experience some farm gates and meet some locals, you will be treated to a beautiful high tea at 2 cooks café, relax for the afternoon and slowly make your way back, stopping at whatever catches your eye.
The ones feeling a little less energetic, its time to consume more wine, whilst getting driven around. You will get to see 7 outstanding wineries this region has to offer, you get the chance to purchase any wines or simply get the know the wine makers a little better. You will also be lucky enough to have an exclusive cheese tasting experience and Milawa Cheese Factory.
You will then get taken back to our culinary crossroads where you can head off to your favorite places for your last minuet supplies. You may want to stay an extra night, if so, we can book you in at one of our iconic local restaurants or you may need to head home with your belly full of flavor and your mind full of memories.
