It's that time of year again! The twang of summer is flicking the back of your ear and you're starting to think about all the socks, 15 dollar iTunes vouchers you're going to get for Christmas and how you're going to make it through festival season again; both financially and mentally. Not the team here though, nosiree! We're busy thinking about the period post picking ham fat out of your sunburnt teeth and your nan's sloppy kisses and loving, yet oddly asphyxiating embrace.

Pack a snorkel and think about who you're going to sweatily peck or man-hug at midnight, because the TLC team at Taylor's boutique rooftop bar are treating you to a NYE countdown carousal with a tropical themed twist. A unique open-air oasis in the comfort of our own vivacious city with views of the harbour and fireworks, minus the heaving shoulder-to-shoulder punter mass.

The cost of living is still about as high as the pets in Whiz Khalifa's apartment consistently are, so we're making sure our lovely guests get value for their coin. Split over 2 levels, we've bundled up everything you could possibly need in one toight little joybundle: Delicious food and drinks to kickstart your night, visual production littered throughout the venue, an anti-weather rooftop venue with retractable roof and the forthcoming aural delight selectors:

Please allow us to start with the main attraction on the ROOFTOP : We are proud to welcome one of Australia's finest proven exports: Anthony Pappa. Originally hailing from Melbourne, the man has received the accolades of a multitude of musical heavyweights like Sasha & Digweed and lent his name to brands like Renaissance, Bedrock, Global Underground & EQ/Balance (not to mention being an Australian DMC DJ champion at 15). Who better to take us into the new year than a legend of the scene? If you know what to expect from Pappa, you'll know there's no better man for the supporting job than Robbie Lowe. It won’t be the first time they’ve played under the same roof and it won’t be the last – Robbie’s experience, eclectic taste and ear for any situation will see him no doubt pave the path for Anthony to do what he does best. Also sharing support duties upstairs will be the representatives of rambunctious local Sydney hoo-rah Strange Clouds; Mars Monero, budding producer Aaron Smith (with a recent release on UK label Sleazy Deep) plus regular guest Rodskeez/Rodean (Capital Classique). After a packed ripper of a return from the dead with a charity event at Taylor’s earlier in September, the boys will be back on familiar ground to prime the stage with the same cheekiness you’d expect at a Strange Clouds

Downstairs on the TAYLOR’S SOCIAL level, we have Taylor’s/DANCEetc regular and favourite, Acaddamy. Jordan’s work ethic has seen him feature on rotation at anywhere we have left these days with a pulse - his productions have been getting traction too, snapped up by labels like Spinnin’ and with “I’ve Been Waiting” being added to the MOS sessions 12 CD. Next up we have former boompty Brisbane boys Marks & Oz – these lads have been causing some waves overseas with their infectious brand of bouncy house and will be doing nothing different to the social room come the 31/12 – variety vibes engage. To round up the 2nd level lineup is Kormak, the newest addition to Sydney powerhouse agency Soapbox. Following his recent Pacha debut, this fresh project has a trove of new music to showcase for willing ears – a sound that will perfectly slot into the ass-jigglery of the social.

PS - We definitely didn't mean "carousel": ca·rous·al (kə-rou′zəl) - Boisterous drunken merrymaking or revelry. Seeee?
