FASHION WORKSHOPS with Anita McAdam

Studio Faro will hold a series of hands-on workshops at the show. These workshops are a reflection of Anita's background and the demands of the fashion industry workroom. Workshops are suitable for all levels, and costs include patterns, material & trims, plus pattern paper.

What to bring: Sharp Pencils (HB) or propelling pencil, eraser, glue stick, paper scissors, your best ruler or any favourite pattern making equipment

To remember: Please wear shoes that cover and protect your feet.

Corset Patterns

Saturday 4th March:  1pm to 3.30pm

During this Studio Class you will use the Studio Faro Corset Block to produce a pattern with design features that may include tucks, fullness and interesting seam lines. There will be several designs to choose from in the course materials.

This class is suitable for students of ALL skill levels.

Class cost: $60

Jersey Twist Patterns

Sunday 5th March: 10am to 12.30pm 

Using the Studio Faro Basic Knit block, students will learn the pattern manipulation necessary to make a Jersey Twist Top pattern. You will be introduced to Anita’s Knit Block for industry and use it to cut a pattern.

This class is suitable for students that have used commercial patterns and have basic sewing skills.

Class cost: $60.

Fashion Illustrations

Sunday 5th March:  1pm to 3.30pm

Build the tools and skills required to produce industry quality fashion illustrations. Fashion templates are provided for students to practice sketching and rendering colour and texture in a supportive environment. There are demonstrations and practice sessions in the use of different colour and media to create depth, movement and print effects in the illustration.

This class is suitable for students of ALL skill levels.

Class cost: $60.
