BRITISH INDIA:
Melbourne’s BRITISH INDIA are currently off the road and in the studio recording songs for their 6th album due for release in August 2017. Having been off the road for 5 months the boys will take a break from the studio and fly to Newcastle to headline our ‘Good Friday Eve’ party on April 13th.
Having smashed their way through sold out shows and festivals across Australia for the past decade British India have scored an impressive 4 Top 10 Aria albums and 8 entries into the coveted triple J ‘Hottest 100’
They scored Gold status for their hit record ‘I Can Make You Love Me’ and played 17 consecutive sold out shows touring their last album ‘ Nothing Touches Me’. Don’t miss the chance to see one of Australia’s premier rock bands play in one of their favourite venues .
Whilst receiving stellar reviews, and accolades for singles “Glad That You’re Gone”, “Get Like This” and “Gutfull”, this is a band that demands to be seen live to be truly appreciated. A wall of sound greets - overdriven guitar and complex, yet feelsy drums making it difficult to fathom the sound is coming from a two piece band.
No stranger to stages as diverse as laundromats, lounge rooms, theatres and festivals, The Hard Aches took to the road at every chance they could get in 2016, touring with Luca Brasi, Tired Lion, and Camp Cope nationally, as well as being invited to take part in the inaugural Poison City Weekender, and I Love Life festivals. This community, the bands and people that exist in it mean the world to them, and it’s the real driving force behind what makes The Hard Aches continue to play.
2017 sees The Hard Aches tour with The Front Bottoms nationally, writing for their eagerly anticipated second album, a follow up to 2014s ‘Pheromones’ and a blistering tour of Europe.
