The band’s new single ‘Point’ has been met with positivity from all realms. You can currentlyhear it warming the airwaves of triple j and community radio stations nationally.‘Point hints on 1980s nostalgia, but for the most part it stands alone as somethingcompletely modern and unique.’ – AdamNotEve ‘Point sees the four-piece rumbling along with their signature indie-pop/ rock soundwhilst simultaneously showing the band's evolution.’ – Pilerats ‘The Creases are one of the better bands to have come out of Brisbane in the lastfew years. That’s not fair actually, they’re flat out amazing.’ – Howl & Echoes
‘Point’ follows the release of Gradient – the band’s debut EP – which established The Creases as one of Brisbane’s finest up and coming young bands. It saw them support a host of international and local artists, including Jake Bugg, Drenge, The Strypes and DMAs, and won them festival slots at Laneway in Brisbane and Splendour in the Grass.
The Creases will be joined on this tour by a selection of the finest new garage bands to come out of each city. Sydney champions Flowertruck and doom pop masters Hunch will open for them at the OAF Gallery Bar. In Melbourne, Hollow Everdaze and Hideous Towns will bring their laid back pop and shoegaze tones to the stage, whilst in Brisbane, psychedelic outfit The Good Sports and the sundrenched Donny Love have the opening honours. Keep an eye out for more info on the Adelaide and Perth lineups, which will be confirmed soon. And come join the party this October!
