Wolfmother LIVE @ PORT PIRIE

World-renowned psychedelic rock band, WOLFMOTHER will be performing a one off all-ages show in the rural seaport town of Port Pirie, South Australia. The event will take place on Saturday the 30^th of August at Globe Oval and features Byron Bay Indie Rock boys Pilots alongside two local supports from the region (TBA).

Wolfmother surprised and delighted fans when they unexpectedly released their long awaited follow up to 2009’s “Cosmic Egg”, “New Crown” on the 23^rd of March this year. The release has received outstanding reviews from Billboard who declare it “a return to Wolfmother’s psychedelic rock origins” and Rolling Stone who professed it “decidedly raw, with a more punk-leaning edge”. Front man, Andrew Stockdale explains that “If anything this record is about making you want to see the band live, which is where Wolfmother comes to life!"

Wolfmother will bring their almighty psychedelic rock show to Port Pirie’s “Globe Oval” with support act “Pilots” warming up audiences with their smooth Indie Rock sounds. Two local acts from the Spencer Gulf region will also be given the opportunity to perform. Sprawled amongst the masses of Wolfmother fans will be amusement rides and concept market stalls. With a seemingly sparse Australian touring schedule, this performance is surely one not to be missed.

Despite a brief hiatus Wolfmother are back in full force, determined to claim their title as Australias leading force in psychedelic rock. This one off licensed all-ages event is destined to be the talk of the town for years to come, ensure you don’t miss it.
