Adventure Island - 9th to 11th of July 2018

Are you ready to take on the ultimate holiday adventure? Adventure Island is a step up from our regular Adventure Camp!. We're taking the kids on a 3x day, 2x night camping trip out to Cockatoo Island, this camp will include tougher challenges, more initiative activities, more teamwork tasks and above all, more fun! Your kids will learn some great outdoor skills and break out of their comfort zone - making new friends along the way. The best part is we'd love parents to come and give us a hand and we've got a heavily discounted price if you can make it.

We'll delve into the history of Sydney and Cockatoo Island and race around to solve the clues of an all new Adventure Story!

Each camp ticket includes meals (except Lunch on Day 1) & tents - all you need to do is bring you sleeping bag, clothing are your sense of adventure! We're reducing group size numbers down to 10 per instructor with a parent helper.

For this camp to go ahead we'll need a minimum of 25 kids booked in. So spread the word.

For the first time, Parents can join the fun! If you want to get involved, you can sign up as a "Parent Helper" and pay a heavily reduced ticket price (that still includes tent and food), to join in and assist with the groups, challenges and games! Parents will work with the instructors to lead the groups of kids around and help them discover the joy of the great outdoors.

Camp Details:

Day 1: Drop off at Bradfield park, underneath the Harbour Bridge.  We’ll take all the kids camping and extra clothes over to the island while they head off on a scavenger hunt to the botanical gardens, opera house etc before catching a ferry to Cockatoo Island mid afternoon.  For our first night of camping, we've got marshmallows round a fire!
 
Day 2: Let the games begin!  We'll be on the island all day, where we have lots of cool activities planned and further clue hunting to solve the puzzle.  We’ll be taking the kids through the tunnels, sheds and old convict areas learning about the history while having heaps of fun.  That evening, camping again with a movie night.
 
Day 3: We're almost there!  We'll finish solving all the clues with further activities and a major ‘auction’ happening after lunch.  We’ll pack up and catch the ferry and train back to Bradfield park for parents to collect.

8:00am - 9:00am Drop Off -  9/7/18 (At Bradfield Park, under the harbour bridge Kirribilli)

3:00pm - 5:00pm Pick Up - 11/7/18 (Bradfield Park, under the harbour bridge, Kirribilli)

Kids need to be there no later than 9am and may be collected any time after 3:00pm.

Kids $469.95 for 3 days, 2 nights.

Parent Helper $179.50 for 3 days, 2 nights

What to Bring

• A day pack and another pack/bag with extra clothes and sleeping gear.


• Suitable Clothing for outdoor activites over 3x days, 2x nights - please remember that it will be cold


• Sturdy, closed in footwear


• Water bottle.


• Personal toiletries

• A backpack to carry gear that the kids can walk with.


• Sleeping Bag & Pillow


• Raincoat


• Torch or head torch


• Cutlery, plate and bowl

Please label all gear with your child’s name.
