Afro Latin Flow with Lam

LAM LAKIZ. FEEL THE TRUE SPIRIT OF DANCE.

Lam Lakiz is coming down from Canberra for a special visit to carry out “AFRO LATIN FLOW” Workshops. 

"AFRO LATIN FLOW” by Lam Lakiz is a dance philosophy, and dance tuition, that takes dancers to the roots of culture with afro based foundations of dance. It introduces participants into vital elements like beat and movement, then allows you to apply this to your dancing at any given level, with you "owning" the feeling and compulsions towards creativity and spontaneous motion in Dance. 

Take yourself out of your mind and into your body and experience the Latin Flow Weekend with Lam Lakiz. Don't sleep on this, it is an event not to be missed. Lam's intrinsic African rhythm will inspire you to new levels with your Kizomba, take you across boundaries through his special dancing style, and keep you on the edge. You will have great fun.

LAM LAKIZ:

Based in Canberra and a well honored persona in the Latin Dance scene, as well as partaking main roles and performances at various congress, Lam has been dancing and teaching for years. 

The essence of dance is in the heart with roots and origins from authentic afro culture that Lam possesses. 

Lam's teaching methods and style are truly from the heart, and you will experience this through every moment spent with him. 

With a dancing Vision that is broad, an attitude that makes anything achievable, and a soul that is pure, Lam shares the passion for dancing with all. His efforts are towards male and female enhancement to encourage dancers to adopt an intrepid fashion towards dancing.

This will be about the origins of kizomba ,semba and zouk. There will be demonstrations of the different types of Zouk. You will understand Kizomba better which will help you a lot with your styling, connection, musicality.

KIZOMBA FUNDAMENTALS 

This sets the foundations for beat and musicality. Its about getting into a rhythm that is the Essence of this Afro Fever Weekend. Basic steps, posture, hip action and movement, balance, body awareness, control, saidas and combinations. Exploring and coming out of the comfort zone.

DOMINICAN BACHATA FOOTWORK & PATTERNS

Dominican Bachata Foundations, footwork. Covering movements with styling we will combine the above techniques into step patterns and partner work that can be used within a social environment.

AFRO MOVES “Unleash Your Instincts”

Sensual, Energetic and Enticing dance that sets you free and makes you happy. It helps you to get to know yourself and discover the goddess or warrior in you! 

This dance gives you everything you might need: Harmony of the body and soul, Self confidence, refreshes your mind, it helps with stamina and it is perfect for shaping your body.

KIZOMBA CONNECTION/MUSICALITY/STYLING INT/ADV

This sets basic instructions on connecting first to the music and then establishing and maintaining a connection with various partners which will help you to become more musical and creative in you Kizomba dancing: footwork Variation, Acceleration/Syncopation, Slow motion, Connection. You will learn or review the fundamentals of connecting and dancing smoothly, gracefully, and comfortably.

SEMBA FUNDAMENTALS/TRICKS

This will cover the fundamental semba hold frame, basic walk and basic combinations also break down movements and history to help you become a true lover of Semba and further appreciate your Kizomba understanding aswell. We will also cover Semba tricks and how to be cheeky on the dance floor.
