ALEX THE KID w/ Glass Wave + Special Guests @ Rollercoaster

Punk gurus Alex the Kid are in town, with their friends Glass Wave and other special guests!

Alex the Kid are a 5 piece punk rock band originally from Geraldton, but are now based in Perth, WA.

The pro-party Geraldtonians found national recognition and airplay in 2016 via Triple J when they were 'unearthed' to play Triple J's One Night Stand festival in their home town.

With 2 EP's, a split record with Brisbane's Columbus and a handful of stand alone singles, the boys set out to write a full length album they'd be proud of. Drums for the album were recorded with fellow label mate Daniel Stuart, and directly after ATK shacked up with good friend Rohan to record the rest of the album. Independent Adelaide label Pee Records jumped at the chance to release the 13 track powerhouse of punk rock.

Completing their second full national tour in September 2016, shortly after the release of the debut album, their most recent single was recorded and hit the airwaves on JJJ and multiple community radio stations.
Untitled was recorded for the Pee Approved 5 Compilation CD, alongside some of the best Australian punk rock bands today.

2017 has started with a bang for ATK, a string of big support slots for bands like The Front Bottoms, The Hard Aches, Moose Blood and Hockey Dad, there's no signs of slowing down for the rest of the year.
