Andromeda Festival are extremely honoured to be hosting Jeff Mills & Derrick May together in Brisbane for the very first time. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event so don't miss out!

There are very few artists who have consistently operated within the highest echelon of underground electronic music throughout recent history, and even fewer who are regarded as pioneers. Jeff Mills and Derrick May have been at the forefront of the Detroit techno revolution and actively continue as frontline conspirators today, tirelessly re inviting what they once pioneered decades ago, and along the way, inspiring generations of artists.  

Words like 'the wizard' and 'the innovator' are among just some of the terms used to describe the impact and influence these two artists have had over the years, not only on the techno movement itself, but on the wider scope of electronic music around the world throughout the last three decades.   

Both legendary techno heavyweights will perform a 2 hour set each for the first time in a one-off Brisbane event on the Saturday 6th of February. Jeff Mills will be showcasing his dynamic four decks and 909 performance and Derrick May will perform his unique combination of power and programming genius.

Hosting two pioneers of techno together for the first time in Brisbane would have been enough on its own. But to make this event truly memorable, we've partnered with Dan Jones of Love Love Studio to create a specifically themed visual experience delivered by way of projection mapping technology. For those familiar with projection mapping, you'll know we're stepping things up here to create a visually immersive experience.
