Join us at the 2022 ANZ & CCIWA Economic Breakfast. This notable event on the WA business calendar is not to be missed.
Hear from ANZ Chief Economist and Head of Research, Richard Yetsenga, who leads the bank's economic and market research efforts, with a focus on Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Richard will provide his analysis and insights on the local, national and international economic trends we're likely to see in 2022, including:
- Why inflation isn't transitory
- Why the economy (and housing) will cope well with tightening
- Why interest rates are likely to rise substantially over the next two years
- Which gradual structural trends are now shifting suddenly
CCIWA CEO, Chris Rodwell will discuss being back on the world stage and forging global investment and trade ties post COVID.
We'll also hear from inspirational special guest Rabia Siddique. Having survived a hostage crisis in Iraq in 2005 Rabia sued the British Government for discrimination when both the military and government tried to cover up her involvement in the incident, which saw her leading hostage negotiations for the release of two British Special Forces illegally kidnapped and detained by Iraqi based terrorists.
At times many of us have felt like prisoners and hostages to the factors around us we can’t control. The profound impact and challenges facing almost every sector as a result of the global pandemic have seemed overwhelming at times, and yet now more than ever our communities are looking to leaders to seize on the opportunities that crisis presents, to impact positive change and to lead and serve for the greater good.
Great leadership is characterised by those who embody and demonstrate resilience, courage, focus, discipline & authenticity. It is this type of leadership that we need more than ever right now. So what choice will you make? How will you use your influence and privileged position? What leader in business and humanity will you be?
Finally, we'll have a Q&A panel session allowing the audience to ask their questions about economic trends we’re likely to see in 2022. It'll feature Richard Yetsenga, Rabia Siddique and CCIWA Chief Economist Aaron Morey.
