WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Chai dates back 5000 years and, in India, nothing happens without a hot steamy cup of chai. Join Uppma on a journey that will take you through the art of chai, its history, how to brew it authentically and the components that will help you bring this ancient art into your home. You will also get to create your very own custom chai mix to take home and practice your new skills!
ABOUT UPPMA VIRDI | @chai_walli
Born in the land of spices (India) I grew up learning the art of chai from my Grandfather, an Ayurvedic doctor (Indian natural medicine). I learnt how spices balance, their properties and how to curate the perfect cup of chai. My tea company, Chai Walli (which mean female chai maker) allows me to share my passion and deep rooted knowledge of chai. Through Chai Walli I sell seasonal and small batch chai blends that are derived from my Grandfathers' ancient recipe.
