- Details
Join us for the launch of our citizen science birdwatching project, where we will be monitoring birds across the Rehabilitating Roe 8 corridor!
Both bird novices and experienced ‘twitchers’ are encouraged to get involved in observing and recording which birds frequent different sections of the corridor, contributing to our monitoring data.
We will have a representative from BirdLife Australia with us on the morning, explaining surveying techniques and introducing us to the Birdata app, which you can access for free from your smart phone or tablet to record your surveys.
After the kick-off event, bird enthusiasts can head out autonomously and complete their surveys independently. We’re very excited to find out which feathered friends are going to be spotted in the corridor.
Please wear enclosed shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and bring a hat and re-fillable water bottle.
Bring binoculars if you have them, though we will have spares.
If possible, bring a smart phone or tablet with the Birdata app already downloaded and installed.
Registrations essential to receive potential updates on the event.
