Breaking The Chains Presser

Jaime Page's Dark Universe and Guitar Gods Australia (West Coast) are thrilled to present Breaking The Chains, featuring metal legends Black Steel and the debut of Triple Engine.

It seems like a lifetime ago that we were rehearsing the Black Steel Slayfest set in Damien Petrilli's rehearsal space. We were tight, hungry and ready to rumble. That is until the horrid Covid-19 beast slam-dunked the show and left us all destroyed in its wake.

While the pandemic continues to be a problem in most parts of the planet, our West Australian situation is becoming more secure, to the point where we felt confident we could put on a great show with your safety and ours at a premium.

The time is now!

We are pleased to offer you a one hundred ticket limited edition show at The Civic Hotel, our favourite venue to stage rock and roll shows. With superb stage, sound and light, the Civic is a joy to play.

Black Steel finally get to shake off the hangover of the cancelled Slayfest outing with a chance to show off new boy Adrian Petrache accompanying Jaime on guitar. Do you feel the power? You can be sure they do!

Triple Engine is a heavy-duty new power trio featuring Craig Skelton, Daniel Skelton and Chris Gibbs. We could not have picked a better combo to open the show and look forward to their big debut with relish!

Last but not least is the Dark Universe monolith. Our primal urge to blast stages remains very much alive, resulting in a face-melting setlist. We have so much love, light, anger and joy to share with you!

As was alluded to earlier, musicians, crews and pubs have had a torrid time of late and we cannot underestimate just how much your support means to us.

Your health and safety are important to us.

As we move forward in our changing world, we are choosing to remain vigilant and mindful of everyone's safety and health and our aim is to present contactless ticketing.

As such, the Breaking The Chains show will be limited to 100 tickets only, available online through Ticketbooth until 1 pm on the day of the show on Saturday, August 22.

Ticket holders will step through the main doors of the venue to our internal ticket area where they will receive a wrist band on entry. Any possible tickets remaining will be sold on a cashless basis to debit and credit cardholders in an effort to limit cash transactions.

We also request that you use the supplied hand sanitiser on entry and respect the health and safety of all attendees.
