Looking for an after-school, family-friendly event that keeps everyone entertained, all while learning about biodiversity conservation? Look no further than this interactive, hands-on workshop where you and the kids can learn all about our local native wildlife and how you can help them.

Presented by ReWild and Simon Cherriman from the Re-Cy-Ology Project, you will get to learn about what we can do in our communities and backyards to support wildlife in Perth and then get to help construct six habitat nest boxes to be installed in our local area. These boxes will provide much needed nest sites for our native birds so they can be kept safe and keep their young safe for years to come.

This is your chance to help threatened bird species and create a home for some of our incredible native bird species. Creating nest boxes means that these birds don’t have to wait up to 100 years for deep tree hollows to form, and we can try to support species to breed and flourish in our natural areas.

Two of the nest boxes will be donated to the local government and local community groups, the other four will be raffled out to lucky participants to take home and install near them.

This workshop is provided by Perth NRM's ReWild Perth Program with thanks to their major supporter, Lotterywest, and the City of Joondalup for providing venue and catering.

Light afternoon tea provided. Please note the workshop will run for 2.5 hours.
