BULLHORN

There’s an old saying, popularised by The Breakfast Club: “you mess with the bull, you get the horns”. What does it mean? Not much really. Mostly that if you do something dangerous, you might get hurt. One dangerous thing you could do would be to miss the crazy, brass based, MC led explosion that is BULLHORN at The Cambridge Hotel Saturday May 6th. Joining them on stage will be Newcastle’s own roots and blues rock stalwarts, Cornstalk. Get ready for a massive show of musical mayhem and the irresistible urge to cut hectic shapes on the dance floor!

BULLHORN have been working hard on the Australian music scene, performing at festivals all over the country including Queenscliff Music Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Festival, Vivid Sydney, Ocean Street Festival, Mullum Festival, Bello Festival and that’s just in the last few months! sounding better! Roman MC, the front man, is intoxicating with his rhythmic word play and massive charismatic stage presence. When his skills are combined with the hard hitting sounds of 7 horns players and 1 bossing drummer the results are awe-inspiring. Their shows are a unique and incredible experience, like no other, and a must to see.

Cornstalk is definitely a band to see live in concert, as brothers Chris & Shayne Hamall deliver soulful and rich harmonies to the band, along with Kane Starkey's melodic cutting edge blues solo's. Sounds like Southern Rockers “The Black Crowes” meets “Seattle Grunge”.
