Bush Animal Weaving
Create a cool and colourful bush critter to take home!
Little ones will love creating their very own bush animal, maybe a fat honey ant or a long lizard, guided by the kind and patient Emma-Jane, from Emma-Jane’s Weaving.
Important information
- This workshop is designed for children aged 5-12 years old.
- Parents or adult guardians are asked to stick around for the workshop to help their child with their weaving project.
- No food is provided at this workshop but you’re welcome to bring along some snacks to eat while you weave.
- Warwick Hall is located at 12 Dorchester Ave, Warwick. It’s just next to Warwick Grove Shopping Centre.
- Ample free parking is available at the venue, including ACROD parking bays.
- Warwick Hall is a wheelchair accessible venue.
About Emma-Jane’s Weaving
Emma-Jane Hunt is a Yjindibarndi and Djaru woman with both traditional and ancestral links to both the Pilbara and Kimberly regions of Western Australia.
Taught to weave by Martu Weavers from the Western Desert when living in the East Pilbara, Emma-Jane is passionate about keeping weaving as a cultural practice alive.
