Event Description
Bushfire preparedness and information session

Bushfires are a real risk in our changing climate, and it’s important to know how to protect your loved ones, your animals and your home from the threat of bushfires.

Whether you are a homeowner, renter or landowner, this is your chance to prepare and stay safe.

Learn about bushfire preparation at this FREE community information session!

What we’ll cover:

  • Bushfire risks & dangers – understand how fires ignite and spread.

  • Staying informed – apps, alerts, and trusted sources.

  • Preparing & responding – when to stay or go, tips for safe action.

  • Making your bushfire plan – step-by-step guidance.

  • Emergency kit essentials – essentials you can’t leave without.

  • Your obligations as a landowner and occupier – firebreaks, property preparation and burning restrictions.

You’ll also get your burning questions answered by fire and emergency experts from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services and City of Joondalup.

All City of Joondalup residents are encouraged to attend – especially those living near bushland, with animals or those who own or live on large blocks of land.

Bookings required.
