Coastal Walk
Explore the local coastline in the season of Makuru with Nyungar artist and community leader Justin from Djurandi Dreaming.
Look for bush tucker, animals, insects, learn about the seasons and how they change the environment, and discover the importance of spiritual acknowledgement for Nyungar people.
Important information
Your walk will begin at the base of the steps to the Whitford Nodes Park Viewing Tower. This is where you’ll meet Justin, your guide.
This event is designed to be casual and relaxed. You won’t need any special gear – just a pair of comfy sneakers will be suitable. The total distance covered will be around 1.5km.
The route will follow a paved path suitable for wheelchairs.
Come prepared for the weather – you might need to bring a raincoat, warm jacket or wide-brimmed hat depending on the forecast.
There are water fountains in Whitfords Nodes Park so you can fill up your bottle before you head off.
Whitfords Nodes Park features ample free parking, including ACROD bays. Alternative parking is available off Northside Drive near Hillarys Boat Harbour.
About Djurandi Dreaming
