On Saturday the 24th of October, Cockburn Ice Arena will open its doors to the public at its brand new location on Progress Drive in Bibra Lake.
The brand new state of the art complex will be opened by the Mayor and will highlight the Olympic sized general skating arena, Frostbite Café, the Pro Shop, three new party rooms and a brand new ballet studio!
There will be free face-painting and a bouncy castle available to the public from 10am – 5pm on the brand new 6 acre site, situated directly across from Bibra Lake.
Four public skating sessions will be available for purchase throughout the day, with special appearances by your favourite ice mascots and feature performances by Cockburn’s figure and Synchronised skaters. As well as games, prizes and a brand new lighting and sound system to provide the best skating tunes.
This event has individual skating sessions, please make sure you have purchased tickets if you want to skate. The free activities will be on the outside of the arena.
Skate Run Times:
11:00am – 1:00pm
2:00pm – 4:00pm
5:00pm – 7:00pm
7:30pm – 10:00pm
We suggest people arrive half an hour before and head to the express pre-paid queue to collect their wrist band for skates.

The General skating rink makes up one half of Perth’s first twin surface Ice Sports Complex, with the second half - The Hockey Rink opening later in the year.
