Common People Dance Eisteddfod - Participant Registration

WE WANNA DANCE WITH COMMON PEOPLE, LIKE YOU!


Come and live out your Flashdance dreams by joining one of our four teams for the Common People Dance Eisteddfod!


No experience preferred. We’re looking for people of ALL ages, ALL abilities, and ALL levels of attitude.  


WHAT YOU GET



  • 7 choreography lessons with a cracking good dance coach 

  • A special souvenir team t-shirt 

  • The opportunity to deck yourself out in the 80s duds of your dreams for the big show 

  • That fuzzy feeling you get from creating something incredible with your community and mates 

  • A chance to be crowned the ultimate lord of dance in the epic final performance in front of an adoring crowd



So go on – sign yourself up and rope in your mate, your neighbour and your gran while you’re at it. The Common People Dance Eisteddfod is your one big chance to live out your Dirty Dancing fantasy, break out your frickin’ awesome Napolean Dynamite moves, or unleash your Super Freak routine – velcro pants optional. It’s not to be taken seriously, but it will be seriously awesome.

Pick who you'll be dancing with from the four teams listed below. Each has a different home base and rehearsal schedule so you can pick the one best suited to you.


All participants should be available to attend most of the rehearsals and be available on the day of the final performance: Saturday 5 April, 11am – 8.00pm at Craigie Leisure Centre.
