Every three seconds, someone in the world develops dementia. It is estimated that 46,000 Western Australians (1 in 85) are currently living with dementia, with the majority living in the community. Many communities don’t really understand what dementia is or how it can affect someone, which can leave people living with dementia socially isolated.
