Joondalup Library, 102 Boas Ave, Joondalup WA 6027
Join us for an insightful presentation by Matt Vapor from Beneath the Surface that will raise awareness of the realities of homelessness and the lasting impacts it has on individuals and communities.
With rising living costs placing more people at risk of homelessness, this event is a timely opportunity for local businesses, community groups, institutions, hospitals, and the broader community to gain a better understanding of the complex factors contributing to homelessness — and explore ways to respond with compassion and support, while meeting the needs of your organisation.
Topics explored include:
- Contributing factors to homelessness, domestic violence, mental health.
- Long-term effects of homelessness.
- City of Joondalup’s response.
- Q and A to try address your organisations needs.
This event supports the City of Joondalup’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and working collaboratively with community partners to address homelessness.
Light refreshments will be provided.
