WACOSS

As the Peak body for the WA community service sector, the Western Australian Council of Social Service will bring a state-wide perspective, including how partnerships can be used to tackle key policy and advocacy issues that impact on our most vulnerable people and the vital services and groups that support them.

The Community Relief and Resilience (CRR) Program is funded by Lotterywest and is responsible for supporting cross sector relationships and partnerships, and capacity building to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the sector. The program also provides an important mechanism for state-wide collective advocacy for the CRR sector to influence policy, funding and systems change. Ashleigh Gregory, CRR Program Coordinator, will share learnings from the Council’s work alongside NFPs, peak bodies and government.

No Limits Perth

No Limits ethos makes a difference in the lives of those who are in crisis through the provision of practical and social support. This includes those experience of domestic violence, vulnerable families and children, people who are experiencing homelessness, seniors, those affected by fire, new immigrants and those just doing it tough.

No Limits partnership ethos leverages support from a broad range of agencies, community groups and government departments. This synergistic approach is intrinsic to it’s success.

Janine Wood, Chairperson says “I am very grateful because the work we do is obviously making a difference. For many, the donations have been life-changing, and doing the work has been just as life-changing for us.”
