Event Description
Conversations in the Littoral

Hosted by Richard Cornish and Hilary McNevin, expect passionate, in-depth conversations about the future, the past, the science, and the realities of life in the littoral zone.

Conversations will cover 'The Big Blue' with local fishermen Russell Frost, Markus Nolle and Nick Polgeest. They will be joined by the Executive Director of Seafood Industry Vic, Jonathon Davey, and the Director of the Centre for Marine Socioecology at UTAS, Stewart Frusher to look towards a blue economy.

Exploring the past and present of our food in 'In the Zone' will be environmental science and anthropology researcher from Deakin University, Zoe Brittain, chef and owner of Brae restaurant Dan Hunter, oyster farmer extraordinaire Shane Buckley from Wapengo Rocks, and regenerative farmer Roderick Poole from Wongarra Farms.

To round out the day we will look to the past to learn about the future in 'Connecting to Sea Country' with Bruce Pascoe, Bronwyn Razem and special guests.
