Desire Lines

It may be that you walk past the same place everyday each time noticing the same details. Someone’s name in the cement, a peeling paperbark, a broken front gate, the sounds found only on that particular street. It may be that on the same walk you notice something new. A change of light shifts your attention. Perhaps a house was repainted, maybe you accidentally took a wrong turn or it could be you intentionally sought out a new path. Whatever the catalyst may be, the familiar is transformed. From the ordinary something exciting emerges.
