Discovery Outbound - Araluen Tulips

City of Joondalup Libraries Discovery Outbound program offers a wide range of activities and excursions for adults aged 50 and older that are active, creative, educational and entertaining.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of spring time flowers amongst the tulips at Araluen Botanic Park. Planted yearly by volunteers, hundreds of bulbs come to life and you can get up close and personal amongst them. There are cafes onsite as well as a small train that can take you through the gardens and up the hill if you need a little extra help to get around (you can purchase a ticket for this on the day for $10) 

It's an earlier start so we can arrive and enjoy as much as possible of our morning booking

8:15am Meet at Whitford Public Library for bus departure at 8.30am

9.30am: Arrive at Araluen and commence self guided stroll around gardens.  Staff will be set up at a central point for any needs. BYO morning tea or enjoy something at one of the cafes on site.

11.30am - Begin to make your way back to the bus meeting point 

12pm - Bus departs - as per booking requirements for the park who are expecting the afternoon bookings at 12.30

Ticket price includes return trip by bus from Whitford Library and entry to the botanic park.  Refreshments and train ride to be purchased by attendees.  As this event has to be pre-paid, refunds will only be provided if there is a waiting list and or time to sell the ticket again.

Notes: 

Please be aware this excursion requires ability to walk around the park with possible uneven pathways.  The facility is accessible to walkers and wheelchairs. The train is approximately 15min and costs $10.

Cancellations and refunds: 
A program will only be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments received one day prior to the event or due to factors beyond the City’s control. No individual refunds or credits will be given for general non-attendance.
