Discovery Session - Birds and Backyard Biodiversity

Join the brilliant Brendan from Birdlife for an im-peckable workshop about supporting birds and biodiversity in your own backyard!


You will learn:



  • How to safely attract more birds into your garden

  • Identifying common birds in your backyard

  • Bird and owl-safe pest control methods

  • How to protect birds from your pets

  • What are nest hollows? How do they help?

  • How to tell the difference between a pest parrot and a native bird, and the negative impacts of introduced bird species such as Rainbow Lorikeets, Galahs and Corellas on our biodiversity.

  • Citizen science and how you can protect threatened and/or endangered species.
