Discovery Session - Christmas Ornaments

Kick off the festive season with a Christmas ornament making workshop with Moody Rabbit’s Hannah Goggs.

Celebrate our native plants and animals by creating six clay ornaments to hang on your Christmas tree during this workshop. Be inspired by our incredible local biodiversity and create your ornament design/s from a variety of native birds, animals, and flowers.

During the workshop you will learn:

• the basic process of making your own clay ornamental pieces


• tips on how to create unique designs using textured techniques, coloured paint and glazes


• how to prepare your pieces for firing.

What to bring:

• reusable water bottle


• make sure you wear old clothing, enclosed shoes and no jewellery


• some design ideas for what native plants and animals you want to create.

Suitable for beginners. All materials and morning tea provided.

Items will be fired and returned to the City for collection approximately 2 weeks after the event. We will provide further information about collection of your ornaments at the event.

Cancellations and Refunds: 

A program will only be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments received one day prior to the event or due to factors beyond the City’s control. No individual refunds or credits will be given for general non-attendance.
