Discovery Session - Vincent van Gogh

- Details

Hear about the troubled life of one of the world’s most popular artists and painters. An outsider, van Gogh could not settle into a happy life and was at odds with society, his family and friends. Nevertheless, his art speaks to us from the heart and his legacy is a portfolio of amazing paintings, watercolours and sketches.
We’ll look at some of his works – not as art critics, but for the pleasure of enjoying his skills. As they say, “I don’t know much about art – but I know what I like!” We’ll also hear Don McLean’s hit song, "Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)" - a wonderful and popular tribute to the great artist.
Cost $5. Book and pay online.
Please note, the presentation will run for approximately one hour and refreshments are included.
