Drunken Kong is the project of D. Singh. Since his debut in 2011, Drunken Kong has captivated audiences with powerful performances at renowned Japanese clubs like WOMB, AGEHA, and CONTACT TOKYO, establishing himself as a major presence in the techno scene. Beginning in 2015, he has released numerous tracks on some of the worldʼs leading labels, including Christian Smithʼs Tronic, Monika Kruseʼs Terminal M, Borisʼs Transmit, and Sianʼs Octopus Recordings, gaining both domestic and international acclaim for his distinctive sound. In 2022, Drunken Kong achieved the top spot in Beatportʼs annual techno sales, delivering multiple hit tracks that solidified their impact on the genre. In 2023, he made waves as the first Asian artist to release an EP, I Want To See, on Adam Beyerʼs prestigious Drumcode label. Following this success, they continued to release on Drumcode, and in 2024, their collaborative EP Sakura with Bart Skils, featuring the standout track Set It Right, consistently held a place in the top 10 of Beatportʼs techno chart. During the Covid time, Drunken Kong `s livestream performance in front of architect Tadao Andoʼs Atama Daibutsu Buddha statue, part of the High in Japan series, gained international attention and was featured by the UKʼs Mixmag, drawing a massive audience and celebrating Japanʼs unique culture alongside innovative techno. Drunken Kong has also mesmerized global audiences at festivals such as Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), SONAR OFF WEEK, ULTRA JAPAN, ULTRA KOREA, Germanyʼs Burning Beach Festival, and Bosniaʼs Freshwave Festival. His rich experience as a DJ and engineer fuel his pursuit of an evolving sound, making Drunken Kong a must-experience for techno enthusiasts worldwide.
