DragonFruit Beats is proud to pronounce its debut international act:

Egbert van der Gugten is an ordinary Dutch guy except for the fact that he is THE Dutch techno-act at this moment. The Egbert sound is warm, upbeat, energetic and most of all, irresistible.

He has been producing music since he was 8 years old, and has grown into one of the most promising talents within the field of electronic dance music. He is now on the roster of the world’s biggest techno label Cocoon Recordings, the Dutch label “GEM” and our own Australian Chameleon Recordings.

His first vinyl went down like a bomb on the dance floors and even found its way into Sven Väth’s basic vinyl collection. Even though Egbert is only in his mid 20's, he has played at almost all the major festivals and clubs around the world and has done remixes with big international artists like; Funk D’Void, Secret Cinema, Carl Cox and Marc Romboy.

Last year Egbert released it debut album ‘Warm’. Having recently played headline slots at many renowned festivals including Awakenings and Time Warp in Europe it is time for Egbert’s debut to sunny Queensland with Dragonfruit Beats.

This will not be just a DJ set, everything that comes out of Egbert’s hands is ‘LIVE’. This night is set to go into the books as one of the most influential techno acts Brisbane has seen. Expect a solid production in the newly renovated Church nightclub from Dragonfruit Beats.
