Red Axes [Multi Culti/Kompakt/Israel]

Two Friends, machines, psychedelia, potions, and an unconditional passion for music, sound and motion. 

Re-defining the sound of a city, gluing together influences, broadening the spectrum, and introducing the world to a new wave of slow burning beats and electric garage.

In the last few years, the duo known as Red Axes have carved a name for themselves as some of the most uncompromising and consistently diverse DJ/Producers. 

The Tel-Aviv based electronic outfit, consisting of Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, formed in 2010 out of the ashes of their local rock band Red Cotton.

As producers, they've had releases on credible industry standards like Hivern Discs, Correspondant, Multi Culti, Kompakt Records, and I'M A CLICHÉ, whilst also being on high rotation in sets by some of the world best. 

In 2014, their first album 'Ballad of the Ice' was released on French label I'm a Cliché, which showcased their wide range and eclectic style. From the Portuguese new-wave deliciousness of 'Papa Sooma', to the western, clubby psychedelia of 'The Watkins', and their brooding dark cover of Bauhaus' 'Bela Lugosi's Dead', they'd crafted their own sound in a very oversaturated landscape. 

On stage, their rock'n'roll approach to DJing and live show has made them one of the most highly sought after acts in the underground, earning them slots at some of the finest clubs and festivals in the world, including Panorama Bar, Rex, Lux, and Primavera.

More recently, the Axes launched their Tel Aviv-based label Garzen Records ("Axe" in Hebrew), which will become a santuary for their internal deviations, featuring an abundance of local talent from punk to disco and beyond.
